Nice hike and great on the mountain bike too. The trail is well groomed and very smooth. There are sections of tall eucalyptus and native ohia trees. You can hear and see native birds in this area. But don't be fulled by the groomed trail. This is still a fairly challenging trail with the elevation at 6000 ft and quite a bit of climbing. It's also nearly a mile of walking on a jeep trail to get to the trail head. See my pics for trail entrance. Pack a jacket as well. It can get cold up there. Enjoy!
