Very pretty but the rocky beach area sucked and the snorkeling wasn't very good.

Absolutely stunning views through the lava fields. About 2 miles through to the first beach area. A few trails off towards the shore towards tiny beach spots. Bring lots of water. Around each bend is a view more beautiful than the last.

Hike through lava fields and along the famous King's Highway

The lava flow trail is a good hike, saw a family of wild goats. Amazing views of the coast.

Also accessed trail head at 20.599261,-156.419648; took King's Road directly to beach. Lost the trail at 20°34'48.9"N 156°23'15.3"W, but it does keep going. I highly recommend really good boots for the lava rock portions of the trail. At least in December, the sunset is visible without Kaho'olawe being in the way.
