If you are up country Maui worth a short stop to take photos and see the view. Easy parking and now wheel chair friendly since the county put in sidewalks and benches. Also a nice place to have a picnic lunch.
It is a very simple park with two statues of Dr Sun Yat Sen, but to a visitor with Chinese ancestry, this place speaks volume about the contributions of Dr Sun and the efforts he took to travel to numerous places (including Maui) to gain support for his revolutionary work.
I wouldn't recommend going up country just for this but is nice for a quick stop. They also have picnic benches if you would like to bring lunch.
Relaxing park. Great statue for Dr. Sun with his declarations and principles. Unfortunately, his ideas were not completed before he passed away.
Nice quick stop. There are a total of 4 statues. 2 of them are on a paved sidewalk while the other 2 (lions) are off the sidewalk and not on an even path.
Just happened upon this on the side of the road and decided to stop. Such a cool little place.
